Bernice is survived by her children, Keith Whittington of Spirit Lake and Sandy Kallansrud of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Mike Kallansrud of Fort Dodge and Tonya (Nathan) Himley of Smithfield, VA; great-grandchildren, Cort and Gracie, Hunter and Gunner; and sister, Janice Reece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mayme (Franek) Jondle; husband, John Whittington; and sister, Eunice Conlon.

Bernice Delores Jondle was born November 8, 1928, in Moorland. She was raised and educated in Moorland and graduated from Moorland High School in 1947. On January 1, 1950, she was united in marriage to John Whittington at Corpus Christi Church and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Bernice worked for the Fort Dodge Labs for 22 years and retired in 1991. She enjoyed spending time at Lake Okoboji as well as fishing, hunting, and traveling. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church.
