CAROL DOSTER
MANSON — Carol Doster, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Ames on Wed. Dec. 2, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Wed., Dec. 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Knierim, with visitation from 12:00 until the time of service. Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Carol Ann Helen Schofield was born in Iowa City, Iowa, on November 12, 1931, the daughter of Tony and Emma (Schoepke) Schofield. She graduated from Manson High School, and on October 1, 1950, she was united in marriage with Ronald C. Doster at Trinity Lutheran Church near Knierim. She was a homemaker and also helped Ron with their farming operation. She was a lifelong active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her faith was of the utmost importance to her. Her grandchildren were also very important to her and Ron, and they loved attending their sporting events.
Carol is survived by her children Paul (Susan) Doster of Algona, IA; Jane (Larry) Noble of Ankeny, IA; Kathy (Wayne) Henryson of Ames, IA; Tom (Laurie) Doster of Metairie, LA; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ronald; sister Phyllis Ruebel; brothers-in-law Ed Ruebel and Russell Doster; and sister-in-law Helen Doster.
Masks and social distancing will be required during the visitation and funeral time.
