MARY C. CARLSON

Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 10th at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Moorland with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery, Moorland. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church in Moorland. Masks are encouraged along with social distancing.

Survivors include sons Matt (Cyndee) Carlson of Fort Dodge, Brad (Tanya) Carlson of Spencer, Larry (Melisa) Carlson of Gowrie, daughter Kelley Monson of Gowrie, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Bernice (Gilligan) Bemrich, husband Rex in 1999, siblings Virgil Bemrich, Richard Bemrich, James Bemrich, Delores Jones, Leroy Bemrich, Margaret Hruska and Dennis Bemrich.

Mary Catherine Bemrich was born on February 28, 1941 in Bradgate. The family later moved to Fort Dodge where she attended schools and graduated from St. Edmond High School in 1960. On February 3, 1962 she was united in marriage to Rex Carlson and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Mary was the most loving and caring mom a family could ask for. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going antiquing.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
