STEVEN “PETE” PETERSON

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 17th at 10:30 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. The family asks that you wear your favorite Iowa Hawkeye apparel in honor of Pete. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery, near Vincent. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Survivors include mother Leila Peterson of Fort Dodge, his dog and loyal friend Nina, brother Roy Dean Peterson and his wife Patty of Duncombe, sisters Lorraine Loux and her husband Mike of Eagle Grove, Chris Smith and her husband Bob of Woodward, Norine Peterson of Fort Dodge, Tammy McMahon and her husband Joe of Fort Dodge, a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Franklin Dean Peterson.

Steven Peterson was born on October 2, 1966 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1985. Pete was a heavy equipment operator for a number of years in construction of ethanol plants including C & W Services and later Cargill. Pete enjoyed time spent with his best friend Nina and loved golfing with his friends. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
