HARCOURT — Mark Young, 63, of Harcourt, Iowa passed away on Wednes­day, June 3, 2020 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge.

Mark Young, the son of Ival Earl and Verna (Weaver) Young, was born October 1, 1956 in Iowa. Mark married Kathryn Friesner in Seymour, Iowa. After their marriage the couple made Seymour their home before moving to Fort Dodge. For 25 years Mark and Kathryn had made Harcourt their home, until Kathryn passed away in 2017 after 35 years of marriage.

He is survived by his two children, Robert Young and Kayla Young; his three brothers, Leland Young, Terry Young, and Brad Young; his numerous cousins; and several nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn; his parents, Ival and Verna; and his brother, David.
