THOMAS LOSE

Thomas J. Lose, 92, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Friendship Haven.

A visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Laufer­sweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. A private family mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Marianne of Fort Dodge; children, Cathy (Tim) Mullaney of Cottage Grove, MN, Stephen (Jeri) Lose of Atlanta, GA, John (Rose) Lose of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Michael (Mary) Lose of Rochester, MN, Mary Rose (Kurt) Iten of Fridley, MN; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Florence Lose of Sonoma, CA; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Francis and Margaret (Smith) Lose; premature son, Peter Lose; brother, Dr. Richard Lose and sisters, Barbara Sherman of West Allis, WI and Phyllis Browne of Milwaukee, WI.

Thomas Joseph Lose was born September 3, 1927 in Decatur, IN. He was raised and educated in the Milwaukee area. In October 1945, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving mainly in Guam. Following his Honorable discharge in 1947 he enrolled in Marquette University and received his law degree. On September 6, 1952 he was united in marriage to Marianne Lemmer and they made their home in the Milwaukee area. In 1969 the family moved to Fort Dodge. Thomas worked in the trust department at First National Bank for many years before starting his own law practice.
