JUSTIN RASCH

Visita­tion will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Justin’s Legacy Lodge, 1871 185th Street, Fort Dodge. Celebration of Life will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 30 at Justin’s Legacy Lodge with burial to follow in Douglas Township Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Kenneth and Jane (Devlin) Rasch welcomed their 10th of 12 children, Justin Herman Rasch, into this world on October 30, 1964. Justin grew up with his siblings on a farm outside of Fort Dodge and graduated Northwest Webster High School in 1983.

On May 20, 1989, Justin was united in marriage to Cherissa Estergaard. The couple made their home and raised three sons in Fort Dodge. Justin loved to play in the dirt and co-owned the Rasch family construction business with his brother Joel for 42 years until his retirement in March 2016.

Justin is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cherissa; his son Dalton (Emily) Rasch and their children Maverick, Declan and Penelope, his son Landon (Tayler) Rasch and their children Abel, Kora, and Everly, his son Austin (Erica) Rasch and their children Kendryk and Matylda; his mother Jane Rasch; siblings Kevin (Shelley) Rasch, Molly (Pat) Van Arnam, Amy (Steve) Dencklau, Sara (Tom) LaBruzzo, Martha (Ron) Steinkamp, Joel (Cyndi) Rasch, Teresa (Larry) Brown, Melissa (Daniel) Maddux, Ann (Michael) Crouse and Greg (Theresa) Rasch; his mother-in-law Maryann Estergaard and -in-laws Lynnae (Matt) Harvey, Robyn (Blake) Messerly, Scott (Jody) Estergaard.

Justin was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Rasch, his brother and sister-in-law Kem and Marcell Rasch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards Prairie Lakes Church, Community Day Care or the ALS Association Iowa Chapter.
