LAVERN PLAGGE
A private service was held for LaVern Irwin Plagge, age 80, of Fort Dodge. LaVern passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at his home at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his three sons, Mike (Sarah) Plagge of Fort Dodge, Craig Plagge of Fort Dodge and Tim (Kris) Plagge of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four grandchildren, Andrew Plagge, Cassondra Plagge, Jack Plagge and Nolan Plagge. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred Plagge.
LaVern Irwin Plagge, the son of Adolph and Mae (Barlels) Plagge, was born April 27, 1939, in Mapleton, Iowa, and graduated from Mapleton High School in 1957.
On August 1, 1959, Vern was united in marriage to Mary Kots in Orange City, Iowa.
He worked in the flooring sales department at Plywood Minnesota which had a store in Fort Dodge. Vern had a passion for farming and working with his sons in the garage.
