Mary Ann Nilles was born on July 8, 1933 in Ashton, IA. Mary Ann was raised and educated in Ashton; graduating from St. Joseph’s High School in 1951. Mary Ann was united in marriage to Thomas Nilles on April 9, 1956 in Ashton. The couple lived in Ames and Jefferson until 1964 when they established their home in Fort Dodge. Mary Ann worked for Corpus Christi School System as a cook for 20 years. She was member of Corpus Christi Guild and Holy Trinity Parish.

While a lifetime of dedication to her faith and the Fort Dodge community made her a familiar face, Mary Ann was happiest among family, friends, a deck of cards and an ice cold beer.
