LEHIGH — Judith L. Smith, 84, of Lehigh, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020, at her home in Lehigh, Iowa while surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service for Judy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the Christian Church in Lehigh, Iowa. Pastor Richard Laird will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020, at the Christian Church in Lehigh. For online obituaries and condolences please visit: www.carsonstappfuneral home.com Judith Lavon Bunting, daughter of O.C. and Frances (Arthur) Bunting was born on January 12, 1936, in Elkader, Iowa. Judy graduated from New Sharon High School in 1954. On June 26, 1954, Judy married Roger Smith at the United Methodist Church in Lehigh. The couple made their home in Lehigh. Judy worked at Ching’s Grocery and at local Cafes in Lehigh. In 1966, she began driving a school bus for Central Webster Schools until 1979, when she started her employment at Electrolux in Webster City. She retired from Electrolux in 1999. Judy enjoyed Lehigh River Days, was an avid Iowa Hawkeye’s sports fan, motorcycle riding, quilting and watching and feeding wildlife at her home. Both Judy and Roger volunteered for many years with Great Relationships In Pairs Mentoring Program at Southeast Webster-Grand Schools. Survivors include her loving husband, Roger Smith of Lehigh; three children, Kathy (Rick Keenan) Swenson also of Lehigh, Bob (Chris) Smith of Woodward, Julie (Jim) Bray of Lehigh; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson; brothers, Jon (Gloria) Bunting of San Marcos, CA., Bruce (Cathie Sue) Bunting of Castro Valley, CA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bunting.
