RONALD G. HANSEN
FARNHAMVILLE — Ronald G. Hansen 88, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, Lake City. Services will be at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is in charge of arrangements.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 65 years Maretta Hansen of Farnhamville; daughter Kathy (John) Garrett of Rockwell City; grandchildren, Ashlee (Matt) Reetz of Polk City, Dakota (Lance) McRoberts of Rudd, Kyle (Angie) Peterson of West Des Moines, and Ann Peterson of Ft. Dodge; and sister Kay Cain of Arvada, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mabel (Clark) Hansen; infant son Kim; and daughter Linda Antellas.
Ronald G. Hansen was born July 13, 1931, at Gowrie, Iowa and attended schools in Gowrie. Ron served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On July 29, 1954, he was united in marriage to Maretta Trueblood at the Little Brown Church. Ron was employed as a welder with AAI Manufacturing in Jefferson for 27 years. He was a member of the First United Church, Farnhamville, the American Legion Post #510 of Farnhamville, served on the Farnhamville City Council, and the Farnhamville Fire Department.
