VIRGIL A. NELSON

DAKOTA CITY — Virgil A. Nelson, 77, of Dakota City, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Dakota City, his children, Denise (Dennis) Gonzales of San Antonio, Texas, Neal Nelson of Humboldt, his step-daughters, Lori and Lisa, four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, his brother, Erland (Phyllis) Nelson and two sisters, Selma Ehrhardt and Phyllis (Carroll) Vik. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Noelle, his brothers, Cliff and Frank and his sister, Dorothy and granddaughter, Kayla.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held later in the fall.
