PAUL V. JORDISON

OTHO — Paul V. Jordison, 93, of Otho, born November 26, 1925, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Charlene Jordison and children: Allen (Cathy) Jordison, Paulette (Ron) Lappe, Joyce (Tom) Hamilton, sister-in-law Sherry (Gary) Molander; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Jordison, parents Virgil and Myrtle Jordison, brother Earl Jordison, and sisters Elvira Haynes and Nina Loehr.

Paul was born and raised on the family farm near Coalville, IA. He graduated from Ft. Dodge High School in 1944 and chose farming as his life-time career. Paul was a prevalent member of the community, participating in many organizations including 4-H. His leadership skills were demonstrated by serving as a 4-H leader for many years. He enjoyed socializing with all his friends and spending time with his family. He was a long-time member of the Community of Christ congregation in Coalville, IA.

A service honoring Paul’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, at Community of Christ Church in Coalville. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at Gunderson Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
