SOMERS — Virginia J. Moeller 94, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial of casket will be at Cedar Township Cemetery, near Rinard. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 21 at the funeral home until service time.
Virginia is survived by her son Marvin (Judy) Moeller of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Dr. Bill Moeller of Grand Junction, CO, and Kim (Brian) Dominic of Colorado Springs, CO; great-granddaughters, Ashley and Elena Dominic; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; parents, Edd and Mary (Sommers) Summers; sisters, Geneva Wyatt, and Lola Hoyt; and brothers, Kenneth and Keith Summers.
Virginia J. Summers Moeller was born June 15, 1924 in Cedar Township, Calhoun County, Iowa. She graduated from Rinard High School in Rinard. On December 13, 1942, she was united in marriage to Donald Moeller, and the couple made their home on the Moeller family farm near Somers. Virginia worked at Friendship Haven, a waitress at the Truck Stop, and was a homemaker. Donald passed away in 2013. Virginia continued to maintain her own home until becoming a resident at Friendship Haven.
