DAVID WILLIAM PIERSON
BLACK BUTTE RANCH, OR — David William Pierson, 91, of Black Butte Ranch, OR, died suddenly on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at home. David was born in Appleton, WA, but grew up in Hermiston, OR. He married Barbara (Trimble) in 1955 and lived in Oregon and Hawaii before settling at Black Butte Ranch, OR. He lived in Fort Dodge from 2009 to 2013 before moving back to Black Butte Ranch.
David is survived by his daughters Dana Van Brocklin of Black Butte Ranch, OR, and Dr. Carey Bligard of Fort Dodge; grandchildren Bradley Van Brocklin (Rachel) of Denver, CO, Whitney Van Brocklin of Black Butte Ranch, OR, Jennifer Van Brocklin (Dr. Mitch Brinks), Eugene, OR, Dr. Gregory Bligard (Dr. Kathleen Hollister Bligard) St. Louis, MO, and Richard Bligard, Fort Dodge, and great-grandson Jacob Robert Van Brocklin, Denver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, in 2009.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
