OTHO — Peggy Sestak, 65, of Otho, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge after a long battle with MS and her recent stroke. A private family viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge, IA.

Peggy Sestak, the daughter of Thain and Betty Klass, was born on September 22, 1953 in Fort Dodge, IA. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1971. Peggy Klass was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Sestak on June 23rd, 1973. Peg, affectionately known as “Mom” by many, was loved by her family and many friends. Some of Peg’s greatest joys were her family, riding her horse, Gomer, cooking, gardening, and reading books.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joe Sestak; her sons, Joshua Sestak and Thomas Sestak; her grandchildren, Eleanore, and Thain; her brothers, David Klass and Doug (Maggie) Klass; her sister, Cathy (Jim) Halsrod; her beloved dog, Sam; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many honorary family.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Thain and Betty Klass and Stanley and Elsie Sestak; and her sister, Nancy Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers all memorials will be dedicated to the MS Foundation and the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
