PATRICIA SEEHUSEN

Patricia Ann (Consier) Seehusen, 80, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Allen Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Pomeroy, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Pat is survived by her three daughters, Sheri (Jim) Simpson of Minneapolis, MN, Karen (Gore) Pandolfo and her husband Tony of Orlando, FL and Jill (Rick) Neese Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Tom (Amber) Simpson, Marcus (Brenda) Simpson, Jeff Gore, Dan Gore and Kirstin Neese; four sisters, Beverly Breitenkamp of Des Moines, IA, Florence Mensik of Sahuarita AZ, Bonnie (Larry) Walters of Albany, OR; five brothers, Ronald (Sandy) Consier of Sun City, AZ, Kenneth Consier of Vincent, IA, Roger (Deb) Consier of Carl Junction, MO, Dennis (Lois) Consier of Ogden, IA, and Doug (JoLeen) Consier of Stanhope, IA and a sister-in-law, Ruth Consier of Churdan, IA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister, Susan Consier; brother, Robert Consier; brothers-in-law, Harold Vinson and Bill Breitenkamp; and a sister-in-law, Mary Consier.

Patricia Ann Consier was born June 7, 1938 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Peterson) Consier. Patricia was baptized on July 3, 1938 and was confirmed on April 6, 1952. She was educated at Lutheran Parochial School thru the eighth grade and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School on June 5, 1956. Patricia worked in Fort Dodge for two years and on August 10, 1958, Patricia married Irvin (Butch) Seehusen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Pat was a farm wife and a stay at home mother. They were blessed with three daughters and they enjoyed supporting their activities and friendships while raising them. The blessings continued as the grandchildren came and the cherished times spent at the farm and trips out of state to visit them.

The couple made their home on the farm until 2001, when they moved into the town of Pomeroy. Pat was a member on Immanuel Lutheran Church of Pomeroy, having served in many capacities of the LWML.

Pat enjoyed decorating their home, walking, and being with friends. She loved when they all got together. Her husband passed away on July 29, 2014 and in 2015, Pat moved to Friendship Haven.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice or to the discretion of the family.
