L. Glenn Nellis, 86, of Fort Dodge passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Alaire Willits of Epworth United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Jeanine; children, Lynn (Randall) Strauss of Omaha; Rick Nellis; Jeff (Ruth) Nellis both of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Ian (Kumiko); Tiffany; Brian; Lindsay (Bill); Matt; Rebecca (Mark); 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Delores (George) Fawkes of Fort Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ethel (Jordison) Nellis; and a sister, Shirlee Anderson.

Leonard Glenn Nellis was born February 28, 1932 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Fort Dodge and while in high school he served in the Army National Guard. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1950. On May 6, 1951, he was united in marriage to Jeanine White. He then served for the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge Glenn partnered with his dad at Nellis Construction, which he owned and operated until he retired in 1994.
