MARLIN D. BIGELOW

ROCKWELL CITY – Marlin D. Bigelow 63, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran and Presbyterian Church, Rockwell City with Pastor B.J. Ukena and Pastor James Mossman officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, August 17, 2018 at Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City.

Marlin is survived by his wife, Angela Bigelow of Rockwell City; daughters, Michelle (Benny) Craddock of Plato, MO and Melissa (John) Hudson of Lohrville; grandchildren, Tim, Omar, Jaylin, Octavianna, Raven, Sophia, Jonathan, and Joseph; sister, Marilyn Henry of Fulton, MO, brother, Michael (Deb) Bigelow of Madrid; sisters, Mary (Ron) Berg of Madrid, and Melody Bigelow of Branson, MO and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beverly (Santee) Bigelow.

Marlin D. Bigelow was born May 6, 1955 at Lake City. He graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1973. Marlin was employed at TAPPS Mobil and Ludwig 66 during high school. After high school he was employed at Iowa Industrial Hydraulics and Brand FX as a welder for 40 plus years. Marlin was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Angela Steinberg on July 12, 1975. Marlin was an avid outdoorsman.
