POCAHONTAS — Dennis P. Fitzgerald, 72, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, Pocahontas, with Msgr. Michael Sernett officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Pocahontas, with military rites provided by the Pocahontas American Legion.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday at the Powers Funeral Home, Pocahontas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Iowa Right to Life or the Safe Haven Animal Shelter of Northwest Iowa.
