JUDITH THOMPSON

Judith Ann Thompson, 82, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sun­day, June 3, 2018 at the Simpson Health Center in Fort Dodge. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Alaire Willits officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge. Burial will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Evergreen Cemetery in Britt, Iowa.

Judith Ann Clute, the daughter of Rueben and Margaret (Weingarten Pickford) Clute, was born April 27, 1936 in Mason City, Iowa. On September 15, 1951, Judith was united in marriage to Donald E. Thompson in Minnesota. The couple made their home and raised their family in Fort Dodge. Judy worked in retail at both Sears and Walmart, retiring in 2001. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Epworth United Methodist Church and was a 55 year member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Her priorities where God first and then family. Judy was an avid reader, a devoted listener and she loved to cook.

Survivors include her six children, Rick (Helen) Thompson of Fort Dodge, Rita (Dennis) Christensen of Eldon, MO, Vicki Nelson of Fort Dodge, Glenn Thompson of Coalville, Gary Thompson of Fort Dodge, and Jeff (Jessica) Thompson of Johnston; a daughter-in-law, Jolene Thompson of Urbandale; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one on the way; her sisters-in-law, Diane Clute of Clive and Lavon Pickford of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1994; her parents; her brothers, Ronald Clute, Edward Clute and Hugh Pickford; and a grandson, Keith Michael Nelson.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
