It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Benegas announces her passing at the Mount Ayr Health Care Cen­ter, Mount Ayr, Iowa, after a brief illness, on Wednes­day, June 6, 2018, at the age of 88 years. Donna had resided for the last 10 years at the Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Mount Ayr, Iowa. She had previously lived in Marion, Iowa where she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Donna was a homemaker her entire life, raising six children after an early unexpected death of her husband. She was an avid reader, especially of mysteries.

Donna was born on July 21, 1929 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was married to the late Angelo Benegas, Jr. of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She is survived by her sons Angelo (Ben) Benegas III and Doug Benegas; her daughters Kathy Hemann, Kristine Benegas, Judy Gitlin, and Sara Madden, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her deeply.

Donna will be cremated, and her ashes will be interred alongside her deceased husband at the Corpus Christi Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
