LINDA L. OESTER

Linda L. Oester, 68, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Unity­Point — Trin­ity Reg­ional Med­ical Center.

A service honoring Linda’s life will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 18, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. Nicholas Thackery officiating. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Linda is survived by her husband David; her children, Dennis (Lindsey) Milligan, Webster City; Karin Milligan (Jim Stockdale), and Steven (Amanda) Milligan, all of Fort Dodge; ten grandchildren, Chance Milligan, Tia (Ben) Allen, Shelby Milligan, Zachary (Chelsi) Milligan, Tori Lowe, William Lowe, Katelyn Milligan, Piper Stockdale, Alex Milligan and Logan Milligan; ten great-grandchildren; her mother Jean Anderson, Fort Dodge; her siblings, Wanda (Mike) Wiese, Fort Dodge; Paula (Tom) Moran, Cedar Rapids; Pamela (Mike) McClaren, Louisville, KY; Debra Anderson, Victoria, TX; and Diana (Craig) Rodriguez, McComb, MS; her fraternal aunt Pauline Zeigler, Shreveport, LA; and her stepson Tom (Melinda) Oester, Stratford. She was preceded in death by her father Billy E. Anderson, her sister Anna Marie Ashmore, and her brother Billy Jim Anderson.

Linda Lea Anderson, the daughter of Bill and Jean (Scott) Anderson, was born October 17, 1948, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1966. In 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Michael Milligan. Linda was a homemaker and was employed with Kmart for 24 years and Sears for 12 years. On July 15, 1991, Linda was united in marriage to David Oester at Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Linda enjoyed playing darts and was active in dart leagues. She was an avid reader of science fiction and mystery books. She enjoyed her flower gardens and baking. Linda especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
