Minor injuries reported in accident

One man received minor injuries in an accident early Wednesday morning in Fort Dodge.

It happened around 6:35 Wednesday morning, according to Fort Dodge Police Lt. Joe Bates.

Richard Brown, of Rockwell City, was driving a white 2004 Ford F250 pickup eastbound on Business Highway 20 when he stopped at a stoplight. At the same time, a Humes Distributing truck, driven by Brett Ratcliff, was going southbound.

The vehicles collided in the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and Business 20, according to Bates.

Brown was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.

Bates said officers are still trying to determine which of the trucks had a stoplight.

The accident backed up traffic for about an hour.
