Man gets sentence after guilty plea

SIOUX CITY – A Duncombe man who admitted planning to distribute methamphetamine has been sentenced to federal prison.

Kevin E. Peterson, 45, was sentenced to 198 months in prison on March 14, three months after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine.

Peterson admitted that he worked with others to manufacture and distribute at least 150 grams of meth from January 2010 to August 2012. He also admitted that he actually created meth on Jan. 22, 2012, and gave the drug to someone on April 23, 2012.

In addition, Peterson will also serve 10 years of supervised release after he is released from prison.
