Humboldt County suspect sought

HUMBOLDT – One man has been arrested and another is wanted in connection with a stolen property case just north of Humboldt.

On Dec. 4, 2012, Humboldt County deputies took a report from a man who said several pieces of electronic equipment had been stolen from his vehicle just north of Humboldt. The man said he had been assaulted during the theft.

Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger said as a result of the investigation, Terry L. Kiefer, 21, of Waterloo, was arrested in Kossuth County on Sunday on charges of second-degree robbery and assault causing injury.

Kiefer is being held in the Humboldt County Jail on $11,000 bond.

Kruger said the sheriff’s department is also looking for James Michelson, 19, of Kanawha, in connection with the case. He has been charged with second-degree robbery.

Anybody with information on Michelson is asked to call the Humboldt County sheriff’s office at 332-2471.
