Water main flushing set in Fort Dodge
Water mains on the east side of Fort Dodge will be flushed in a project that will begin next week and continue through September, according to the Public Works Department.
The flushing will be done in the area east of 12th Street and on the city’s southeast side.
Flushing will not be done on Mondays and Tuesdays because those are garbage collection days in the area.
Residents may notice some air bubbles, color or increased chlorine smell in the water after the flushing takes place. If that occurs, residents are advised to run their faucets for a few minutes.
