Operation Merry Mulch returns
The city of Fort Dodge is inviting residents who have a real Christmas tree this season to donate their tree to the city’s mulch pile.
Dubbed Operation Merry Mulch, Fort Dodge residents can drop off their real Christmas trees at Oleson Park near the Operation Merry Mulch sign before Jan. 23. The trees will be chipped to create mulch.
All decorations, including garland, tinsel, bulbs, lights, beads, ornaments, nails, wires and stands, must be removed.
