Supervisors OK easement for Lizard Creek

Webster County Supervisors approved renewal of an easement with two property owners to maintain public access to North Lizard Creek.

The easement agreements with the Jane S. Rasch Trust, for .28 acres, and with Joseph Cunningham Jr. and Sue Cunningham, for .65 acres, will be valid until 2030. The county’s first easement with the two landowners started in 2010. In addition to the easements, recreational creek users can enter through two other access points owned by the City of Fort Dodge and Webster County.

Due to personal circumstances, both properties’ owners declined a county offer to purchase the land this year.
