Schmoker Adult Day Services suspended indefinitely
The Friendship Haven Board of Directors decided to suspend indefinitely the services of Schmoker Adult Day Services, according to Julie Thorson, president and chief executive officer of Friendship Haven. While it had been temporarily suspended in March due to COVID-19, the adult day program will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
This program area, which was established in 1996, offered companionship, socialization, and assistance with personal cares and other daily living activities for adults in need of such services. The Board and leadership team will reassess the program in the future, but for now it will remain closed.
