Weather permitting, beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, traffic on First Avenue North between15th and 16th, 18th and 19th, 20th and 21st streets will be closed until work is completed. City crews will be installing three new water main insert valves at the intersections of First Avenue and 15th Street, First Avenue North and 18th Street, and First Avenue North and 20th Street.

Water will be shut off at 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 1 on First Avenue North between 15th and 22nd Street, until work is completed that day.

Door tags will be distributed to all affected citizens. Detours will be posted. Please use alternate routes if possible.

Motorists are urged to reduce speed and use caution in the area.
