‘Coats for Kids’ encourage buying coats in the spring

The Community Health Center of Fort Dodge and Shimkat Motor Co. help local families every winter who are unable to afford a winter coat for their children.

The coat drive traditionally takes place in the fall. However, this year CHC is encouraging the community to consider purchasing a winter coat now, while they are on sale. Many retail locations are making room for spring inventory.

Another idea is to donate a gently used coat, snow pants, winter boots, mittens or hats before you pack them away for the season.

Coats are needed in all sizes.

Coats and other winter items can be dropped off at the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge located downtown at 126 N. 10th St.
