Havelock woman hurt in crash

PLOVER — A 27-year-old driver was airlifted to a hospital Friday for injuries she suffered in a crash at the intersection of Iowa Highway 4 and Pocahontas County Road C15.

Christa Ingram was taken by air ambulance to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

She was treated and released, according a MercyOne spokesperson.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Ingram, who was driving a 2003 Ford Escape westbound on C15, stopped at a stop sign and then pulled out into the path of a semitrailer that was southbound on Highway 4.

Nevayda Ingram, 8, and 2-month-old Wynter Taylor, both of Havelock, were passenger’s in Ingram’s car. They were treated for minor injuries and released.

The semitrailer driver, Elizabeth Rahar, 31, of Taylorville, Illinois, was not injured.
