Boat registrations are due April 30, according to an announcement from Webster County Recorder Lindsay Laufersweiler.

These renewals will be for a three-year period ending April 30, 2022. The registration fees vary, depending on the type and size of the boat.

These are the current fees:

• Any length, without motor or sail — $16.90

• Motor or sail boat, less than 16 feet — $27.40

• Motor or sail boat, 16 feet but less than 26 feet — $40.90

• Motor or sail boat, 26 feet but less than 40 feet — $79.90

• Motor or sail boat, 40 feet and over — $154.90

• Personal watercraft — $49.90

• Documented vessel — $29.90

A penalty of $5 will be added to registrations after April 30.

Renewals may be mailed to: Webster County Recorder, 701 Central Ave., Fort Dodge, IA 50501 with an additional $1 per vessel for postage. Please also include hull identification number or Iowa number for the vessels.

Renewal notices will not be sent.
