FDMS students chosen for Karl King Honor Band

Sixth-and-seventh grade students from Fort Dodge Middle School were selected for the 2019 Karl L. King Honor Band.

The Karl L. King Honor Band will perform Saturday at 5 p.m. in the St. Edmond gym.

The students will spend the day rehearsing with band students from other schools before presenting the concert that evening.

“The students are working hard to prepare the honor band music in a short period of time,” said Ryan Swedean, FDMS band instructor. “I am proud of the students selected for this honor. They will do a great job representing the Fort Dodge Middle School at this event and concert.”

Seventh-graders

Kyra Raymond — clarinet

Shelby Stein — flute

Grant Behrens — saxophone

Colton Hale — trumpet

Eighth-graders
