JoKir’s Wild meat is recalled

GILMORE CITY — JoKir’s Wild Beef, in Gilmore City, is recalling all of its canned meat food products because of possible bacterial contamination, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.

The department reported that there is a reasonable probability that the products could cause serious health problems. The main potential health hazard is the bacteria that causes botulism.

The amount of product subject to the recall is unknown. The canned meat products can be returned to JoKir’s Wild Beef. Customers can also call the company at 515-332-2608.
