Wanoki volunteer day is Saturday
The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and Friends will hold at volunteer day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Camp Wanoki.
The group will work on savanna restoration by removing invasive woody plants that surround large oak trees in one of the rarest ecosystems in the United States.
Volunteers are asked to bring a water bottle and wear old clothes. Lunch, snacks and water will be provided.
