FDCSD board to meet Monday

The Fort Dodge Community School District board will have its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Central Administration Building, 104 S. 17th St.

The board will recognize participants in bowling, wrestling, swimming, boys and girls basketball, and speech, and National Honor Society will honor instructor Francis Long, former Fort Dodge Senior High instructor. The board will then hear a presentation on YouthNet coalition from Randy Kuhlman, chief executive officer of the Fort Dodge Community Foundation and United Way and Peg Christensen, FDSH at-risk coordinator.

Also, the board will approve the 2014-15 calendar. A discussion will be held on the district’s long-range plan. Bus and van bids will also be considered.

Doug Van Zyl, FDCSD superintendent, will update the board on district business and communications.
