FD man charged in burglary
A Fort Dodge man was charged with second-degree burglary Saturday, after police found him allegedly burglarizing a residence.
According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, officers received a report of a burglary in progress at 1025 S. 21st St. The call was made at 3:34 p.m., and officers arrived on scene a minute later.
Sheldon Shivers, 38, the sole suspect, was taken into custody.
The homeowner’s prompt call and identification information allowed officers to quickly locate and arrest the suspect, according to the police report.
Second-degree burglary is a class C felony.
