Eggs and Issues forum set for Saturday

There will be an Eggs and Issues legislative forum Saturday in Fort Dodge, and this time there will be some actual eggs to accompany the issues under discussion.

The forum, and others to follow in the annual series, will be held at the East Campus of Iowa Central Community College, which will make it possible to serve a hot breakfast, according to organizers of the event.

In past years, the forums were held at the college’s Main Campus and the breakfast consisted of rolls, juice and coffee.

The breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and the question and answer session with lawmakers will begin at 8:30 a.m. Both the breakfast and the forum will be held in what was once the main office building for Smithway Motor Xpress on Webster County Road P59. The Smithway property is now the East Campus.

Eggs and Issues is sponsored by the college and the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance.
