Webster Co. supervisors approve agreements for quality-of-life projects
The Webster County Board of Supervisors approved extended agreements with two firms assisting the county with quality-of-life projects on Tuesday.
The agreement with ISG for $131,500 covers the services the firm will provide in designing, permitting and bidding out the River’s Edge Discovery Center campus project. This will include trails, the outdoor playscape, a streamscape, a fishing area/scenic overlook and the Des Moines River streambank.
The supervisors also approved a $53,370 agreement with Snyder & Associates to help with appraisals to acquire 11 parcels on the route between Fort Dodge and Badger for the trail connection project.
Webster County Conservation Director Matt Cosgrove said about half of the landowners of the parcels needed are agreeable toward permanent easements for the trails. For the remainder, he’s working with the County Engineer’s Office to move the trails to the existing right-of-way.
