First Covenant cantata is this weekend
Public invited to celebrate Christmas with music
The choir of First Covenant Church in Fort Dodge will celebrate the joy of the holiday season this weekend with its annual Christmas cantata.
The cantata is entitled “King Jesus Is Coming” and it will be performed twice.
The first performance will be at 5 p.m. Saturday. The second will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Both will be in the church at 201 Ave. H. The public is invited.
The cantata will take the audience on a musical journey, beginning with the birth of Christ and concluding with his promise to return. Featured songs will include “Did You Hear The Story,” “Jesus, Oh What A Wonderful Child,” “Here I Am To Worship,” and “King Jesus Is Coming.”
Todd Redenius and Carolyn Bergman will be the soloists.

Prior to each event, the First Covenant Praise Band will perform some Christmas arrangements. The band consists of David Lass and Armona Redenius (trumpets), Micah Flaherty and Don Bergman (trombones), Flaherty (piano), Benson (keyboard) and Davis (drums).
