Duncombe man charged with sex abuse

DUNCOMBE — A Duncombe man is sitting in the Webster County Jail on a $150,000 cash-only bail after being charged with three counts of sexual abuse.

Douglas Alan Ewing, 58, is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony. According to the criminal complaints, Ewing abused at least two children under the age of 14 between 2018 and 2022.

Ewing was arrested by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday night. He had his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Thursday morning. Magistrate Judge Bill Habhab set Ewing’s bail at $150,000 cash-only and scheduled a preliminary hearing for June 10.

If convicted, Ewing faces up to 75 years in prison.
