Benson Bahr named to district court bench

Jennifer Benson Bahr, who formerly served as county attorney in both Humboldt and Webster counties, has been named a district court judge in southwestern Iowa.

The appointment was announced Friday by Gov. Kim Reynolds.

Benson Bahr, who now lives in Crescent, was most recently a district associate judge in Judicial District 4.

She was the Humboldt County attorney from January 2007 to July 2011. In August 2011, she became an assistant Webster County attorney. She held that position until becoming Webster County attorney in January 2015. She resigned in January 2018 to become an assistant Pottawattamie County attorney. She became a district associate judge in 2019.
