The remains of a semitrailer sit next to a scorched building after the truck caught fire Thursday afternoon in Dayton. Dayton Fire Chief Luke Hainzinger said it appears that a charging battery caught fire, igniting the truck. He said some flames did spread to the nearby building but firefighters were able to minimize the damage. No injuries were reported. The Dayton Police Department and Stratford Fire Department assisted the Dayton Fire Department.
