A fallen tree left over 30 MidAmerican customers without power Sunday evening. Fort Dodge police responded to reports of a downed tree at the intersection of 12th Avenue North and Junior Court. Upon arrival, they discovered the tree was pinning down several utility lines, causing a hazard and blocking the road. According to MidAmerican’s online outage map, 35 customers were impacted by the outage starting at about 5:22 p.m. Fort Dodge Police and MidAmerican crews were on scene to remove the fallen tree and repair the downed utility lines.
