Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Jenny Randleman approaches a Chevrolet pickup truck that left the roadway along Nelson Avenue Thursday night. According to police, the driver, traveling northbound, left the roadway near Harlan and Hazel Rogers Sports Complex after an apparent steering malfunction. The truck came to rest in a ditch hidden by a pine tree. The driver suffered injuries to his chest and face. He was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health - Trinity Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Fort Dodge Police Department, Webster County sheriff’s deputies, Fort Dodge Fire Department and Badger Fire Department responded.
