Storm cleanup is underway in Fort Dodge

The city of Fort Dodge Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will be working over the next several days to collect any downed branches and limbs from trees located in the city right-of-way (between the sidewalk and street). If you have anything meeting this criteria and you want to be sure it’s collected, please submit a request to the department via Connect Fort Dodge (https://seeclickfix.com/fort-dodge/report).

For limbs and branches belonging to trees not in the right of way, citizens should utilize the Public Works yard waste pick up program. As a reminder, tree branches must be in bundles no larger than 18 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length. Branches themselves may be no larger than 4 inches in diameter. Bundles weighing in excess of 50 pounds will not be picked up. Yard waste stickers are not required. All pick up requests should be submitted to Public Works via Connect Fort Dodge (https://seeclickfix.com/fort-dodge/report).

Larger limbs and branches not picked up through yard waste pick up need to be taken to the landfill and disposed of there. Landfill hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m. to noon.
