Marian Home employee tests positive for COVID-19

One employee at the Marian Home and Village has tested positive for COVID-19, Tracy Trotter, the nursing home’s administrator confirmed.

That employee tested positive on Thursday. Trotter said that person has not worked since Sunday.

All families and residents have been notified of the positive case, she said.

The employee will be in isolation for 10 more days, Trotter said.

The person can return once they are 72 hours symptom-free without medication.

Trotter said all employees and residents will be tested on Monday.

That includes about 70 residents and 120 employees, she said.

“We have been in contact with the Iowa Department of Public Health and working with Webster County Public Health, who will be doing the testing for us on Monday,” Trotter said.
