How long have you been in law enforcement?

Two years.

What other law enforcement positions/departments have you served in?

(None other than the FDPD.)

What’s an interesting fact about you that some might not know?

When I was in the Marines, I drank cobra blood. During this time, we trained with the Thailand Marines and after they complete their training and earn the title Marine, they cut the head from a cobra snake and drink the blood.

What’s the most memorable incident you’ve responded to?

A pursuit that came from Webster City into Fort Dodge where multiple departments worked together to accomplish the end goal by catching the suspects. This was also the first time I laid out spike strips in an attempt to stop the vehicle from fleeing the other officers.

What’s the best part of your day?

Making someone’s day better than it was before.

What gives you the most satisfaction in your job?

Knowing that I made a difference in someone’s life and having people thank me afterwards.

What’s the toughest part about your job?

Crimes involving children or telling someone that their family member has passed away.
